Health and safety has become an ever-increasing issue in today’s working environment and organisations are coming under more and more pressure to control and reduce risks arising from their operations.

Working through an ever-increasing maze of employment legislation can be a nightmare, but a newly established West Midlands company has an answer to this in the shape of a business consultancy service.

Since its formation just 12 months ago, Online Safety Solutions has enjoyed consistent growth, which was recently secured by a prestigious contract for a castle in Cheshire.

Managing Director Jonathan Smith explained that he had worked successfully for some time for the Seventh Marquees of Cholmondeley, on his 4,000 acre Houghton Hall estate in Kings Lynn, Norfolk.

“As a result of the good practices put in at Houghton Hall, Online Safety Solutions was recommended for work at Cholmondeley Castle in Cheshire, which is owned by Lady Cholmondeley,” added Jonathan.

“Although my projects used to be construction oriented, when we go on to this site we can carry out risk assessments on anything from deer handling to deer culling and gamekeeping to domestic cleaning.

“We totally advise the estate on its health and safety, which is quite nice to have on your CV.” Cholmondeley estates manager James Hall said Online Safety Solutions would have responsibility for overseeing the numerous departments within the estates. These include building department, gamekeeping, foresters and ground staff, and the safe working systems of the castle, house and hall.
